I've always thought of The Hollywood Vampires as a sort of ragtag supergroup. You have Alice Cooper, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry and somehow Johnny Depp fits in.
I just spent the past five minutes watching this trailer and I'm really intrigued. The name comes from a late night group that would drink at the famous Rainbow Bar and Grill on Sunset in Hollywood. The band formed when Alice and Joe thought it would be fun to just play their favorite songs in clubs. The story turns out to be really interesting!
Check out the trailer for an upcoming documentary on the band which includes stories from longtime Alice Cooper producer Bob Ezrin. I have much respect for the man. He was going to produce a Stabbing Westward album and I got to do 3 weeks of preproduction with him. Ears of gold and so many stories.
